His oresence is welcome and unlike others he could get away with coming close and even holding them. After all, this was her mate even if these were adopted kittens.
"I found them in the plaza." Realistically she had stolen them at first but it wasn't like Balthazar could say anything about theft. A closer inspection of body shape would see something that definitely looks more like a domestic cat kitten than a lion cub in thier features.
