Balthazar is usually good company, equally capable of trolling and of tailoring his behavior to another person's comfort zone. With Thnisko, he's happy to chatter about pleasant topics without expecting much response, or to sit and listen in silence. Today, it seems that listening is going to be important, but he unfurls his Grace a little to guide the other angel to a spot near him. Once Thnisko is settled, Balthazar will gently extend a wing as if to shelter him, though the weather is fine and he doesn't really need shade from the sun.
"I was thinking of bringing him some indoor plants as a holiday gift," he says. "But I know nothing I can bring him will really fill the void."
He feels a little jolt of worry when Death speaks again. Not busy? Then what's happening?
"He...hasn't told me anything's bothering him," he says. "I know he has a lot to feel sorrow about, but I was hoping...I don't know. What should I be doing? For him."
