Truth or Dare: Nexus Edition

Lucifer isn't quite sure how this madness started. The angels had opened up the council chamber for visitors and of course Beelzebub had started them drinking, then they got rowdy and people started joining them. Who had brought up the idea of Truth or Dare was unknown but it rippled through the amassing group to a uniform good idea, despite the objective nature of it being a disaster.

Then there was some vote that Lucifer missed where Galahad, Prometheus, and Belial were made judges to keep things in line. That might have been the most reasonable and sane thing since this conversation started. Chairs were rearranged to a big circle.. and all the chairs from the villa had been taken. It was crowded, specially when they decided the judges should have chaises to lounge on. This was some true ancient Greek style madness with the drinking and the topics that were sure to come up. Still, it was all fun and games, right?


Rules of the Road:
1. Top level with your character.
2. Note if you are opting this in as canon for Nexus. This may be done in top level or in individual responses (If there is any questions about this please seek out players OOC.. Discord, PM in Dw etc)
3. A character may only ask truth or dare of the same character once.
4. However, a character may ask as many different characters as they please.
5. Characters may ask questions without doing a top level. However the 1 per the same character applies
6. If your character is crossing threads for a dare, please link back to the original comment where the dare was issued.
7. When in doubt ask?

Cricket is a tiny bit beyond tipsy, although he almost never lets himself get so drunk he can't walk straight, because that's a real hazard when you have metal strapped to both legs. As such, his inhibitions are down a little. He offers Harley a drink of his moonshine with a bright, hazy grin, then sits in the chair beside her.

"We ain't talked near enough lately. Truth or Dare?"

"We haven't...." Harley takes the moonshine with a bright grin. And savors the taste as she debates her choices.

"Dare." Let's see what Cricket will dare her to do, shall we.

This is the kind of game he and Jack would have played as boys, had they known about it. Cricket takes a minute to think about what kind of dare he would have given Jack, compares it with things Jack did on his own without being dared to, and comes up with something slightly less likely to get anyone in trouble.

"Pick three people in th' room, other than me, and give them the best nicknames you can think of. Silly, embarrassing, whatever."

"Easy Peasy... Lemon Squeezy... Quick clarifying question." Harley plays with the ends of her braids. "Do I have to tell those people their nicknames?"

Well, that's an angle Cricket hadn't considered. He rubs the back of his neck, trying to think of how it would work if she didn't tell people their nicknames, and decides that might be too easy.

"You can either tell the people themselves or if you know they got someone in here who'd take up the nickname and run with it, you can tell them. That fair?"

"Oh very fair..." Harley winks at Cricket. She has a few ideas that will be a lot of fun.

[Nickname #1. Nickname #2. And to be updated in the morning with Number #3]

Cricket just grins and watches as she goes on her merry way, listening to her assignments from a distance.

She, of course, has the option to ask him Truth or Dare when she returns!

After completing her task, (Ian was Number #3), Harley returns to find Cricket.

"That was fun! So your turn! Truth or Dare?"

"Dare!" There is no hesitation. Holy shit, Cricket, how much have you had to drink again?

"Alright. My dare to you is to find a willing person... not me, because I would totally do it and that would be cheating... who will you a piggy back ride for 10 minutes." Harley grinned.

His first instinct is to laugh about the dare, because it's cute and harmless and very characteristic of their relationship. Then he starts thinking about who to ask, brow creasing as he looks around the room. Asking any woman (or female-presenting person) other than Harley is right out; they may be more than strong enough, but he's just not comfortable.

His gaze alights on Beelzebub, but the angel of drunkenness is, predictably, three sheets to the wind. Cricket doesn't like his chances of getting dropped there. He has a feeling if he asked skekGra he'd try, but he doesn't know how strong he is and it would be bad if he injured delicate bird-bones.

Thor is the most logical option...and yet.

Fuck it. No guts no glory. He reaches for his jar, takes a swallow, and heads for possibly the last person he's comfortable asking. The boy has a contrarian streak.
